OK, so Week 1 could have gone a little bit better, but that's why there are 17 of these.
The NESN.com NFL picks podcast got off to a rough 7-9 start in Week 1, but that's to be be expected. After all, what can you really expect out of anyone in Week 1?
One team that took the podcast — and a lot of others by surprise — was the play of Robert Griffin III and the rest of the Washington Redskins. Vegas had the skins as a sizable underdog heading into Week 1 against the Saints, but the Washington rolled to an easy win.
That, of course, means the RG3 and the Skins are favorites this week, on the road against the St. Louis Rams.
NESN.com senior assistant editor Mike Cole is back on the picks podcast horse this week, and he's got a little company. Both he and NESN.com assistant editor Ricky Doyle like what Griffin and the Redskins can do this week, but they are a little bit cautious of what may be down the road for the club.
Here are their picks for the week, and you can hear them break them down in the podcast below.
