John Lackey returns to the Red Sox rotation on Sunday after rehabilitating an elbow injury that has kept him out since May 11.
Lackey is winless since April 24, when he threw eight shutout innings against the Mariners.
Behind him, he'll have nearly all of the Red Sox regulars in support. J.D. Drew, though, will rest against Oakland starter Brett Anderson, with Mike Cameron instead getting the start in right field.
For the A's, Kurt Suzuki will return to the lineup, batting fifth while calling pitches for Anderson.
