It took about a month, but the Bruins finally righted themselves and starting winning in the past week. Unfortunately for the Bruins, they’re still tied for last in a division with a few talented opponents.
Montreal and Boston are deadlocked with 14 points each, while the Senators have 15 points. The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres are ruling the division, with 21 and 20 points, respectively.
The Bruins have already defeated Toronto and Ottawa, but they’ve had trouble beating Montreal. The one division opponent that Boston has yet to face is Buffalo, but the two teams will meet up on Saturday night.
Despite Boston’s success against Toronto, the Maple Leafs are third in the conference and fifth in the league. The Sabres are seventh overall, while the Senators, Canadiens and Bruins all fall in the league’s last 10 spots.
Given that all five conference teams are separated by just seven points with over five months left to play, which team do you think will win the Northeast Division?
