Marc Savard Donating TD Garden Suite to Children's Hospital Head Trauma Patients for Rest of Bruins SeasonLingering effects from concussions mean Marc Savard's hockey-playing days may be over, but the Bruins center is still giving back to the Boston community.

Starting with Thursday's game at TD Garden against the Canadiens, Savard will host a luxury suite at the Garden for pediatric patients at Children's Hospital in Boston. The patients will be with a focus on those suffering from the effects of head trauma.

Savard has bought out the suite for the rest of the season to host patients. Each patient will receive gifts, as well as a visit from Blades and the Ice Girls.

"Marc Savard understands firsthand the challenges faced by children suffering from the effects of head trauma from both a medical and psychological standpoint," Beth Donegan Driscoll, director of child life services at Children's said in a Bruins press release.

"The partnership with Marc Savard is an exceptional opportunity for Children's Hospital Boston patients and their families to experience the the thrill of a Bruins game at the generosity of this very special man."

Savard will be in Boston on Thursday to speak with the media about the initiatve and will join the guests in the suite for the Bruins-Habs game.
