Mario Balotelli Pays Nearly $400,000 For Lap Dances, Gets Fined for Breaking CurfewMario Balotelli‘s wild side has landed him in hot water with Manchester City … again.

On Sunday, the 21-year old was fined £250,000 ($396,000) by his club for breaking a pregame curfew, according to the Mail.

Balotelli and some friends took a trip to a strip club in Liverpool late Thursday night. The group was photographed leaving at 2:45 a.m. on Friday morning. Club rules prohibit players from engaging in late-night shenanigans within 48 hours of kickoff.

Balotelli played and scored the second goal in City’s 2-0 win over Bolton on Saturday. But following the game, City manager Roberto Mancini was questioned by a reporter about Balotelli’s late night. He hadn’t heard about it, but he said he would impose the maximum fine of two weeks wages if the story was true.

Once he confirmed that the outing did indeed take place, Mancini fined the player who he regards as one of his sons. It is the latest in a number of off-field incidents involving the talented Italian star.

Balotelli has dated a number of models and actresses in the last year, but Mancini thinks it’s time Balotelli settles down (and focuses on his career). The leading contender is his current girlfriend, Rafaella Fico.

“It could be that marriage would help him in that respect,” Mancini said. “That could be the answer, because I am sure he understands that he has made a mistake. Mario is like this, but there is nothing we can do if he does not eventually realize he cannot keep doing this.

“It seems anything can happen with him at any moment. He is his own worst enemy and it is 100 percent that he should have learned by now. When you are a professional, you should know you cannot stay out until after two o’clock in the morning, so close to a game.

“Sometimes I feel a bit let down. These things will happen at his age, but after 100 times, I think he should understand what is going on around him.”
