Kevin Youkilis is wearing a new jersey on Monday after being traded to the White Sox. Turns out his new teammate Adam Dunn is doing the same.
Dunn somehow borrowed Youkilis’ old game-worn Red Sox uniform and worked out while wearing it, according to ESPNChicago.com.
“I already had my sweat and tears and mud from yesterday [in it],” Youkilis told reporters in Chicago, “And then Dunn went out and started throwing the ball. Hopefully he put some more good sweat on it, and we’ll just have to frame it one day.”
Hopefully he’ll have the good sense to wash the jersey first, although considering how hard Youk played during his time in Beantown, a dirty jersey might be appropriate.
Youkilis is in the lineup for the ChiSox in his first game, where he will be batting second against Minnesota.
