Adrian Gonzalez isn’t out of town yet, but he’s gone from shelves around Fenway Park.
A worker at the Twins souvenir shop across the street from Fenway was spotted taking down a poster of Gonzalez on Friday, likely with the expectation that the Red Sox first baseman is heading to Los Angeles. Some fans have pointed out, though, that the posters usually reflect the Sox’ starting lineup for the night, of which Gonzalez was a late scratch.
However, T-shirt vendors inside the stadium were also seen taking down the Gonzalez t-shirt jersey from stalls. Since nothing is official yet, we can only assume that the stores are just trying to get ahead of the curve on this one. After all, throwback jerseys are more valuable, right?
