Relive Game 3 of the Bruins-Canucks 2011 Stanley Cup Final Tuesday on NESN

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final was a roller-coaster ride for many Bruins fans. Luckily, there were more ups than downs as the team rallied around Nathan Horton‘s injury to insert themselves back into the series.

Horton was sidelined by a vicious open-ice hit from Aaron Rome midway through the first period, and when the period ended scoreless, things were a bit somber at the TD Garden. However, four goals in each of the last two periods propelled the Bruins on to a huge win, as they claimed their first victory of the Final and moved a game closer to evening things up.

Roberto Luongo allowed all eight goals on 38 shots, as the B’s hinted at the struggles to come in Boston for the Vancouver netminder. On the other end of the ice, Tim Thomas stopped 40 shots in a winning effort and even worked in a shot of his own while decking Henrik Sedin.
