NHL Player Snuggies the Perfect Gift for Ironic, Colorblind Hockey Fans (Photos)

Darn it if those NHL arenas don’t get downright chilly sometimes.

What better way to keep warm than wrapping yourself in several square yards of polyester adorned with your favorite team’s colors? Shop.NHL.com recently rolled out a limited, Eastern Conference-biased selection of Snuggie-like “player comfy throws” mere days ahead of Black Friday. So far, hockey fans with a heightened sense of irony or no sense of shame can buy the wearable blankets in the style of Ryan CallahanZdeno Chara and Sidney Crosby, among others.

The comfy throws measure 48″ by 71″ and should provide more than enough coverage for the average fan. Chara, however, doesn’t fall into the “one size fits most” category — at 6-foot-9, the Bruins captain is nearly a foot taller than his own Snuggie. Talk about some cold toes.

Check out some of the comfy throws and awkward, but probably very warm, models below.
