A day after Jarome Iginla returned to his longtime home in Calgary, the Bruins enjoyed another reunion.
After beating the Flames on Tuesday, the B’s flew to Edmonton for their date with the Oilers. There to greet them at Rexall Place was Andrew Ference, who now serves as Edmonton’s captain after leaving the Bruins via free agency after last season.
Ference spent six-plus seasons in Boston before signing with his hometown team, and a number of his former teammates spent some time catching up with the defenseman Wednesday before having to line up across from him the following night.
