Dallas Stars forward Rich Peverley spoke to reporters at a press conference Friday for the first time since undergoing successful heart surgery.
He’s been cleared to resume working out, and his goal is to one day return to the NHL. [tweet https://twitter.com/DallasStars/status/449684660943994880 align=”center”]
Peverley collapsed during a March 10 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets because of a cardiac event that began after a first-period shift. A few days later, he underwent a heart procedure at the Cleveland Clinic.
The 31-year-old forward will miss the rest of the season, and it’s unclear when/if he will return to the NHL. [tweet https://twitter.com/JoshuaCooper/status/449684623736320000 align=”center”]
