Brock Holt, A.J. Pierzynski Combine To Make Catch In Crazy Play (Video)

The Boston Red Sox lost their season-high fourth straight game on Sunday, but in a small bright spot, third baseman Brock Holt made one impressive defensive play.

With two outs in the top of the seventh inning, Detroit Tigers designated hitter Victor Martinez hit a popup into foul territory. Red Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski did his best to chase down the ball, but it popped out of his glove. Fortunately for the Sox, Holt — who had also made the chase from third base — was right there to make a barehanded catch off the deflection.

Check it out in the video below.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
