NFL: Preseason-Philadelphia Eagles at New England PatriotsFOXBORO, Mass. — Brian Tyms still helped the New England Patriots last week, despite not being active for Sunday night’s 43-17 trouncing of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The wide receiver, who recently came off a four-game suspension, was among the Patriots’ eight practice players of the week as they prepared for the Bengals. Tyms, offensive lineman Chris Barker, defensive end Jake Bequette, wide receiver Josh Boyce, cornerbacks Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan, running back Jonas Gray and safety Tavon Wilson will wear black practice jerseys this week after being named practice players of the week.

Typically, a practice player of the week excels at imitating an opposing player. Since the Patriots focused so heavily on shutting down Bengals wideout A.J. Green, it’s possible that Tyms was impersonating the All-Pro wideout last week.
