Brandon Browner, Brian TymsFOXBORO, Mass. — Brandon Browner’s undisclosed absence from New England Patriots practice has been explained. The cornerback missed Thursday’s session with an ankle injury.

Center Bryan Stork (head) also was added to the practice participation and injury report. If Stork has to miss Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, the Patriots will have to shake up their starting offensive line again.

Rookie defensive tackle Dominique Easley missed practice with shoulder and knee injuries after participating in Wednesday’s walk-through. Safety Nate Ebner and offensive lineman Cameron Fleming did not participate in practice with finger injuries.

Linebackers Jamie Collins (thigh) and Dont’a Hightower (knee), defensive end Chandler Jones, safety Devin McCourty and special teamer Matthew Slater (shoulder) were limited in practice for the second straight session.

McCourty walked into the Patriots’ locker room after practice wearing a red non-contact jersey.
