As we hit the home stretch of the fantasy football season, your banged-up team desperately needs a spark. Who better to provide that boost than … Mark Sanchez?

No, you didn’t accidentally stumble upon a two-year-old fantasy article. It really is Nov. 3, 2014, and Sanchez really is a fantasy-relevant quarterback once again. For that, The Sanchize can thank Nick Foles, who is out indefinitely after suffering a painful broken collarbone Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles’ win over the Houston Texans.

Obviously, it remains to be seen whether Sanchez, who has thrown 70 touchdown passes and 71 interceptions in his career, actually can put up decent numbers. But there’s no better place to get that opportunity than Philadelphia, which ranks fourth in the NFL with 409.2 yards per game.

If you’re scanning the waiver wire, it’s the type of risk you might need to take as you fight for a playoff spot. Fortunately, Sanchez isn’t the only waiver-wire pickup who could see plenty of opportunities going forward. Here’s a look at the best pickups at each position heading into Week 10.

Quarterback: Mark Sanchez, Philadelphia Eagles
Sanchez threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns in three quarters Sunday after Foles went down. It’s clear the coaching staff trusts him, so don’t expect Philly’s passing volume to dip. Over the next three weeks, the Eagles will face the Carolina Panthers — who have allowed the fifth-most passing TDs this season — the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans. If you need a QB, Sanchez is a solid short- and long-term add.

Other quarterbacks to watch: Mike Glennon, Michael Vick, Austin Davis, Derek Carr, Alex Smith

Running Back: Terrance West, Cleveland Browns
Ben Tate is starting to play himself out of a job, and West could be taking over in his stead. Tate’s production has decreased every week since he returned from injury, and West garnered more touches than him in Sunday’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Browns play the shaky Cincinnati Bengals run defense Thursday night, so West has the chance to turn those touches into big numbers.

Other running backs to watch: Bobby Rainey, Boobie Dixon, Charles Sims, Antone Smith, Tre Mason

Wide Receiver: Kenny Britt, St. Louis Rams
With Brian Quick sidelined for the season, Britt is the new No. 1 receiver in town. That’s not exactly saying much, but Britt hauled in a touchdown pass Sunday and could’ve had another if it not for an Austin Davis misfire. The Rams likely will have to throw the ball plenty against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, so Britt is far from the worst option if you’re thin at receiver in a deeper league.

Other wide receivers to watch: Martavis Bryant, Mike Evans, Jordan Matthews, Allen Hurns, Justin Hunter

Tight End: Owen Daniels, Baltimore Ravens
Those concerned about Daniels’ health after he had minor knee surgery likely were pleased to see him not only take the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers but lead the Ravens with nine targets. Daniels still is available in most leagues and faces the mediocre Titans defense next week. He’s a solid plug-and-play option at tight end if you need it.

Other tight ends to watch: Jared Cook, Charles Clay, Scott Chandler, Jace Amaro
