It’s been snowing lately in New England. Like, a lot.

That’s no news to New Englanders who have been hit over the head with a relentless onslaught of winter weather in past weeks. Boston continues to set records when it comes to snowfall, and it looks like there’s no end in sight.

The wild snow accumulations have been felt across the region, some worse than others — just ask the MBTA. And at this point, it’s not crazy to wonder whether Fenway Park will be ready for the Boston Red Sox’s home opener on April 13. If famous meteorologist Jim Cantore’s Twitter feed is any indication, there’s going to be plenty of work to be done.

Cantore is in Boston to cover the ongoing end of days, and he was at Fenway on Wednesday morning for some live shots. He tweeted this photo from the historic ballpark.

Cantore’s being joined by Weather Channel producer Steve Petyerak who has posted these photos during his stay in Boston.

Gillette Stadium, home of the Super Bowl XLIX champion New England Patriots, reached out to Cantore to give its view of the snow accumulation. The photos are staggering.

That’s reaching Buffalo levels, to say the least.

The good news for New England sports fans is that Thursday is Truck Day, as the Red Sox ship their equipment to Florida as spring training gets ready to start down in sunny Florida. The bad news, of course, is that forecasts are calling for another significant snow event this weekend.
