Rangers Eliminate Capitals In Game 7 On Derek Stepan’s OT Goal (Video)

The New York Rangers are headed to the Eastern Conference final for the second straight season after defeating the Washington Capitals in Game 7 on Wednesday night.

Rangers forward Derek Stepan scored on a rebound in overtime to give his team a 2-1 win and send the Madison Square Garden crowd into a frenzy.

New York overcame a 3-1 series deficit in the conference semifinals for the second straight season and now has won six consecutive Game 7s.

The Rangers will play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the conference final. Game 1 is Saturday at 1 p.m. ET in New York.
