The Rock electrified in his return to Boston.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the self-proclaimed most electrifying man in sports entertainment, shocked the TD Garden crowd Saturday night when he made a surprise appearance at a “WWE Live” event.
Those who follow wrestling know it’s rare to see a superstar of The Rock’s magnitude return to the squared circle at a non-televised event. It’s even more surprising in The Rock’s case because he’s also a global movie star whose schedule already is filled to the brim.
But The Rock was in Boston filming “Central Intelligence” with comedian Kevin Hart. And while he’s busy making cinema magic, he evidently wasn’t too busy to help out the company that gave him his big break. The Rock showed up and dropped a “Rock Bottom” on WWE superstar Bo Dallas.
The Rock always had a passion for wrestling. And he offered a reminder Saturday night of why he’s considered “The Great One.”
