Juan Perez might have taken the lead in “Play of the Year” voting Wednesday.

The San Francisco Giants’ center fielder channeled his inner Willie Mays when he robbed St. Louis Cardinals rookie outfielder Stephen Piscotty of his second career home run in the first inning.

Piscotty got his revenge, though, by launching a 394-foot shot out of the park later in the game.

Perez isn’t the only big leaguer to make an impressive play Wednesday. Boston Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. somehow snagged a sharp line drive that looked destined to be over his head early in Boston’s game against the Cleveland Indians.

Bradley also scaled a wall earlier this week in his efforts to catch a home run ball, though he didn’t pull off the incredible feat he says he practices daily.
