New England Patriots players and coaches don’t talk a whole lot of trash, but apparently the team’s Twitter account is a different story.
The notoriously tight-lipped Patriots aren’t saying much ahead of their Week 7 rivalry showdown with the New York Jets. Patriots players and head coach Bill Belichick have gone out of their way to say nice things about the upstart Jets.
On Thursday morning, though, the Patriots’ Twitter account kicked rivalry week into full gear. From the account came a Jets-specific “Throwback Thursday” post featuring, of course, Mark Sanchez and the Butt Fumble.
Oh, and if you’re somehow, someway unfamiliar with the infamous Butt Fumble, well, here you go.
UPDATE (12:50 p.m. ET): The Patriots deleted the tweet. Luckily, the Internet doesn’t let you delete things, at least not if you get a screen shot.
