Alex Khokhlachev’s streak of unfortunate luck continued Tuesday.
Four days after Khokhlachev was reassigned from the Boston Bruins to the club’s AHL affiliate in Providence and three days after he injured his hand during a loss to the Utica Comets, the 22-year-old forward reportedly underwent a surgical procedure that will sideline him for at least the next month.

Khokhlachev failed to record a point during his two-game NHL call-up last week, but he has been highly productive for the P-Bruins this season, ranking sixth in the AHL with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) through 11 games.
The Baby B’s own a 3-5-3 record this season, good for sixth place in the eight-team Atlantic Division.
