BOSTON — Bruins defenseman Torey Krug hopes to channel his inner Henry Rowengartner after dealing with an injury scare during Saturday’s win over the Dallas Stars.

Krug sustained a blindside hit from Stars defenseman Jason Demers late in Boston’s 7-3 victory, forcing him to exit the game with less than two minutes remaining in the third period. Krug was back on the ice Monday morning, however, and confirmed he’ll be good to go for that night’s matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden.

“I feel fine,” Krug said. “It probably looked a lot worse. I haven’t seen it, to be honest, so it probably looked a lot worse than it was. But I feel fine. …

“Sometimes you’re not prepared for it, but like I said, I’m fine. Ready to go (Monday night).”

Krug has appeared in 58 of Boston’s 59 games this season, tied with Ryan Spooner for second-most among all Bruins players. The 24-year-old blueliner has struggled to find the back of the net in those games, though — he has just three goals despite ranking second on the team with 178 shots on goal — and he joked about the possibility of the Demers hit unlocking some hidden potential, a la Rowengartner in the classic 1993 baseball movie “Rookie of the Year.”

“Hopefully (the shots) will go in now,” Krug said. “… ‘Rookie of the Year,’ right?”

The Bruins also are expected to have Spooner back in the lineup against the Blue Jackets after center missed Saturday’s game with an illness.
