Von Miller: Tom Brady-Rob Gronkowski Connection Unique In NFL History

Von Miller has seen a lot in his five years in the NFL, but the partnership Tom Brady shares with Rob Gronkowski is something the Denver Broncos linebacker won’t soon forget.

Miller gave the Brady-Gronkowski connection the highest praise Wednesday during an appearance on the NFL Network’s “Total Access” program, according to WEEI.com’s Ryan Hannable.

Miller had seen Brady to Gronk several times before the AFC Championship Game in January but he said the New England Patriots pair took their game to a higher level in the most recent meeting with the Broncos.

“The connection he (Brady) has with Gronkowski, I don’t think there has ever been a connection like that in the National Football League,” Miller said, via WEEI.com. “Some of the time, he doesn’t even need offensive linemen; it’s just ‘throw it to Gronkowski.’

“Those last couple of plays in our game, the connection with him and Gronkowski, I’ve never seen it before. I was nervous. Gronkowski was on fire. Brady was on fire.”

The Patriots ultimately fell short in their efforts to reach Super Bowl 50, but Miller still rates Brady and Gronk among the best he has ever seen.

“The Rich Eisen Show” took a similar stance on the Patriots as an organization Thursday, but the Broncos refused to join Eisen and Miller on the New England love train.

We guess no players or teams can have it all.
