The Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers opened Game 5 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series Friday night with a sensational bout.
Capitals forward T.J. Oshie and Flyers forward Brayden Schenn squared off just 10 seconds into the game at Verizon Center. Each player landed some powerful punches in one of the most exciting playoff fights we’ve seen in a while.
The Capitals, and specifically Oshie, wanted Schenn to answer for a cross-check and other shenanigans from previous games in the series, which Washington leads 3-1.
