UPDATE (12:45 a.m. ET): Ezequiel Lavezzi will miss the Copa America final after breaking his arm in Tuesday’s game, according to ESPN. There’s no timetable for his return.

ORIGINAL STORY (10:58 p.m. ET): This was a scary moment.

Ezequiel Lavezzi, one of Argentina’s starting forwards, attempted to play a ball with his chest in the 63rd minute of the Copa America semifinal against Team USA when the 31-year-old flipped over a digital advertising board and had a scary fall.

Lavezzi left the game shortly after suffering the injury.

Fortunately, his head and neck seemed to be okay, but according to the FOX Sports broadcast, trainers were concerned with Lavezzi’s elbow, which might have taken the brunt of the fall.

Lavezzi scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Lionel Messi. Argentina led Team USA 3-0 at the time of his departure and went on to win 4-0.
