NBA Free Agency Odds For Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard: Thunder, Celtics Favored
There’s one common denominator between Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard — the Boston Celtics.
Boston is the only NBA team reportedly scheduled to meet with both free agents, but, according to Bovada, the sportsbooks like the Celtics’ odds to sign Howard a heck of a lot more than Durant.
The betting odds, in fact, favor the Celtics to land the soon-to-be free agent center with 10-11 odds, followed by the Atlanta Hawks, the second team reportedly scheduled to meet him, at 3-2 and Houston Rockets, his current team, at 10-1.
The oddmakers don’t feel quite the same way about Durant, though, as Boston has 20-1 odds to land the biggest free agent of the summer. It should come as no surprise that the Oklahoma City Thunder, his current team, lead the way at 1-6, followed by the Golden State Warriors (4-1), Miami Heat (12-1), New York Knicks (14-1) and San Antonio Spurs (16-1).
The Knicks might come as a bit of a shock since they aren’t on Durant’s list of teams he’s reportedly meeting with, but the Los Angeles Clippers, who have 50-1 odds, do have a seat at the table.
