There was no storybook home run for David Ortiz in his final Major League Baseball All-Star Game at-bat, but he still received a sendoff worthy of a three-time World Series champion and 10-time All-Star.

Ortiz came to the plate twice Tuesday at Petco Park, grounding out in the first inning and walking in the third. Ortiz was lifted in favor of pinch runner and potential future replacement Edwin Encarnacion after his walk, and he received a standing ovation from his peers and fans as he walked off the All-Star Game field one last time.
