Week 14 Waiver Wire: Best Lineup Adds For Fantasy Football Playoffs

The majority of fantasy football leagues are beginning their playoffs in Week 14, and if you’re allowed to make waiver-wire pickups at this stage of the season, it might be a good idea to add some depth to your roster.

Even if you don’t need any help, picking up a sought after player would prevent a competitor from getting that player.

Here are the best waiver-wire pickups at every position.

Quarterback: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles
Wentz played pretty poorly against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions. However, he has a decent Week 14 matchup against a Washington Redskins defense giving up 7.4 yards per pass attempt and a total of 17 passing touchdowns. Washington also is tied for the fifth-fewest interceptions.

Other quarterbacks to pursue: Colin Kaepernick (SF), Alex Smith (KC)

Running Back: Mike Gillislee, Buffalo Bills
Gillislee should be owned because of LeSean McCoy’s injury history, but the Bills’ backup has been fairly productive of late, too. He’s scored six touchdowns in the last seven games with four 45-yard games in that span. Two of those scores came in a Week 13 loss against the Oakland Raiders. Buffalo has no issues turning to Gillislee at the goal line, which makes him a decent flex play or a replacement for an injured running back.

Other running backs to pursue: Alfred Blue (HOU), Jerick McKinnon (MIN)

Wide Receiver: Dontrelle Inman, San Diego Chargers
Inman has scored touchdowns in back-to-back weeks and he’s tallied 40 or more receiving yards in six straight games. He also has some PPR value after catching five or six passes in three of his last four games.

Other wide receivers to target: Malcolm Mitchell (NE), Adam Thielen (MIN), Joshua Bellamy (CHI)

Tight End: Ladarius Green, Pittsburgh Steelers
Green easily had his best game of the season with six receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets versus a good New York Giants defense on Sunday. Green has a great chance to emerge as the No. 2 target in a stellar Steelers passing attack led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wideout Antonio Brown.

Other tight ends to pursue: Cameron Brate (TB), Jack Doyle (IND)
