After a hectic 24 hours, David Ortiz is back in Boston.
The former Red Sox star was flown back to the United States via a team-provided plane shortly after sustaining a gunshot wound in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. His flight landed at Logan Airport on Monday shortly after 10 p.m. ET, according to multiple reports.
Ortiz received a police escort to Mass. General Hospital shortly after landing.
#BigPapi is now at @MassGeneralNews in #Boston, about 24 hours after being shot in the Dominican Republic.
An escort by @MassStatePolice, @bostonpolice for EMS meant it took only SIX MINUTES for him to get there from @BostonLogan! https://t.co/9DYOhLHO1r pic.twitter.com/hv5x06oaMv
