The New England Patriots could look to upgrade their interior offensive line through free agency.

The Patriots hosted former Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski on a free agent-visit this week, NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported Wednesday. Wisniewski has started the past three seasons at center but began his career at guard. He started 13 games at left guard as a rookie.

Dan Connolly, the Patriots’ starting left guard in 2014, is a free agent, and he’s scheduled to take a free-agent visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported Monday. The Patriots are set for the future at center with Bryan Stork, who was selected in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft.

Wisniewski was selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft. He has started 61 games in his four-year NFL career.

The Penn State product underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum this offseason, according to the Chicago Tribune.
