10:21 p.m.: An exchange of picks between Washington and St. Louis.

Capitals trade the 26th pick to the Blues for picks Nos. 28 and 87.

Brian Elliott was traded from the St. Louis Blues to the Calgary Flames for a 2016 second-round pick (No. 35) and a conditional third-rounder in 2018.

Lars Eller was traded from the Montreal Canadiens to the Washington Capitals for two second-round picks, and the Habs acquired Andrew Shaw from the Chicago Blackhawks for two second-round selections.

There is talk on the draft floor, as yet unconfirmed, that CBJ prospect Sonny Milano has been traded.

Andrew Shaw reportedly is seeking $4.5 million or more per season in his next contract. He’s currently a restricted free agent.
