The future of every franchise will be impacted Friday night as the first round is done at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo. There’s plenty of rumors surrounding this event, which should make for an exciting night.

Keep it right here all night for the latest rumors, news and picks as they come in.

10:21 p.m.: An exchange of picks between Washington and St. Louis.

9:30 p.m.: We have another trade.

9:15 p.m.: Detroit trades Pavel Datsyuk’s contract to Arizona.

9:05 p.m.: Dallas Stars trying to upgrade in net?

8:30 p.m.: We have three trades to review.

Brian Elliott was traded from the St. Louis Blues to the Calgary Flames for a 2016 second-round pick (No. 35) and a conditional third-rounder in 2018.

Lars Eller was traded from the Montreal Canadiens to the Washington Capitals for two second-round picks, and the Habs acquired Andrew Shaw from the Chicago Blackhawks for two second-round selections.
