Boston University earned a No. 1 seed and looked every bit the part in its opening game, cruising past Ohio State 8-3 in the semifinals of the Northeast bracket.

Jason Lawrence and Colby Cohen scored two goals apiece, while Nick Bonino, Brandon Yip, Corey Trivino and Chris Higgins contributed with a goal each. Kieran Millan earned the win between the pipes, only needing to stop 22 shots.

The Terriers jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period. They led 6-0 before the Buckeyes even got on the board.

In total, 11 Terriers registered at least a point in the game, with Matt Gilroy tallying three assists.

The victory advances BU to the Northeast finals where they will face a UNH team coming off a dramatic victory over North Dakota in the semifinals.
