New York Yankees left-hander Damaso Marte pitched in his second rehab outing in the Gulf Coast League on Sunday, throwing a scoreless inning for the Gulf Coast League Yankees.

Marte needed just 10 pitches to retire the side in his appearance, striking out two without allowing a walk or a hit. On Thursday he made his first rehab appearance, allowing two hits in one inning of work for the GCL Yankees.

Marte has appeared in seven games in the majors this season with an 0-1 record and 15.19 ERA. His last appearance was against the Boston Red Sox on April 25 when he pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one earned run with one strikeout and one walk.

Marte was traded to the Yankees from the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 26, 2008. He signed a three-year deal, $12 million deal with the Yankees during the offseason.
