Jeff Jagodzinski's stay as the offensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn't last very long. The Bucs fired Jagodzinski on Thursday morning before the start of the regular season.

Jagodzinski joined the Bucs in the winter after serving as the head coach of Boston College for two season. He was dismissed by Boston College in January after interviewing for the head coaching job with the New York Jets against the school's wishes.

“I just learned the news. It’s unfortunate," said Boston College athletic director Gene Defilippo on Thursday. "All of us at Boston College wish Jags and his family the very best.”

Head coach Raheem Morris promoted quarterbacks coach Greg Olson to coordinator.
