Jon Lester Throws Successful Side Session
Just a few days after barely making it off the field on his own power, Jon Lester was seen throwing a bullpen session at Fenway Park on Monday afternoon.

Lester was struck by a line drive off the bat of Melky Cabrera Friday night in the Bronx and had to be removed from the game with what the team referred to as a bruised quad.

The southpaw, slated to pitch Game 1 of the ALDS should the Sox wrap up a postseason berth, confirmed that Monday's session went well.

"Everything felt fine," Lester told boston.com. "Everything was good."

On Sunday, Lester told reporters that he expects to make his next scheduled start which is this Thursday against the Indians at Fenway Park.
