Milan Lucic Slugs His Way to Arbella Player of the Week Milan Lucic earned a little more than a few million bucks this week, as the Bruins' bashing left winger captured the Arbella Player of the Week honors.

Lucic, who signed a three-year extension for a reported $12.25 million on Tuesday, earned the first Arbella Player of the Week Award after bagging an assist and KOing Hurricanes' defenseman Jay Harrison in Boston's 7-2 win over Carolina on Saturday night.

In that win — the B's first of the season — Lucic assisted on Blake Wheeler's first tally of the season. Wheeler's goal 13 minutes into the game was Boston's third and the eventual game-winner. Lucic also bagged a plus-2 rating on the evening skating alongside Marc Savard and Marco Sturm on the B's first line.
