SAN FRANCISCO — A person with
knowledge of the negotiations tells The Associated Press that the San
Francisco Giants have reached a preliminary agreement with veteran
infielder Mark DeRosa on a two-year contract.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement has not been finalized.

The addition of DeRosa would be a

physical Monday and a formal announcement could come as soon as
Tuesday.
