Watertown Native, Northeastern Standout Matt Janning Invited to Celtics Camp

Thanks to the Celtics, Matt Janning can stay close to home.

The Watertown native and former Northeastern star has been invited to the C’s training camp, boston.com reports.

Janning came out strong in the Orlando and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, shooting 44.7 percent in seven games.

Janning played in two games for the Celtics, including one on July 7 when he scored 20 points against the Charlotte Bobcats. He averaged 12.6 points in five games for Phoenix.

Janning was first team All-Conference selection for the last season, averaging 15.4 points.
