Labor Day weekend is regarded by many as the end of summer. Perhaps a better indication of the end of summer is that college football kicked off this weekend.
It was a wild weekend of football, but the most incredible result came in the showdown between lowly Jacksonville State and SEC powerhouse Ole Miss.
The Gamecocks, out of the Ohio Valley Conference came back from a 21-point deficit before shocking the Rebels in double-overtime.
In other action, TCU won their game with Oregon State at Cowboys Stadium in primetime. LSU opened their 2010 campaign on Saturday night by going to Chapel Hill and hanging on to defeat a short-handed UNC squad.
