David Ortiz and J.D. Drew get the night off as the Red Sox face left-hander John Danks in the finale of the four-game series in Chicago.

Ortiz and Drew, both of whom have struggled against lefties this year, actually have some pretty good power numbers against Danks, combining to go 6-for-26 (.231) with two homers and three doubles.

Instead, Danks will set his sights on a lineup featuring seven right-handed bats. Among them, Marco Scutaro has done the most damage. He is 5-for-10 with two homers off Danks.

Mike Lowell will be making his fourth start at designated hitter since coming off the disabled list in early August. Rookie Lars Anderson makes his ninth start at first base.

In his bid for win No. 20, Jon Lester will face a host of youngsters he has never seen. Those he has encountered in the Chicago starting lineup are a collective 4-for-26 (.154) with eight strikeouts vs. Lester.
