Providence Bruins left wing Lane MacDermid likes his increased responsibility on the penalty kill.

“It’s one of my goals this year, to be one of the more regular players on the penalty kill,” MacDermid said.

MacDermid set up the team’s only goal, a short-hander, in Friday’s loss to the Springfield Falcons.

In addition to the assist, MacDermid also fought Falcon Kyle Neuber early in the first period.

Adam Kaufman interviewed MacDermid about fighting, the penalty kill, and what it means to have an AHL season already under his belt.
