Supermodel Marisa Miller has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue since 2002, but now she’s stepping out of her bikini and into a football jersey.

The 32-year-old California native has signed on as the spokesperson for the NFL for the rest of the 2010 season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Miller will promote this season’s special events in both print and television ads.

“I’m so excited to have this incredible opportunity to partner with the NFL,” Miller told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve grown up watching football my whole life.”

While Miller certainly has the looks, she also knows the sport. A passionate 49ers fan, Miller will have the chance to promote her hometown team on Halloween when the 49ers play the Broncos in London.

“Going to the UK for this game is going to be a blast,” the Victoria’s Secret model said. “I’m looking forward to helping gain new fans and show them how incredible the game of American football is!”
