Heading into his third full season with the Providence Bruins, Jordan Knackstedt has seen a significant turnaround in his production on the ice this season.
While Knackstedt has put up solid stats the past two years in Providence, assistant coach Bruce Cassidy says he's seeing a different side to the right wing so far this season.
"He learned a valuable lesson last year," Cassidy said during his weekly interview. "He's not a boy anymore. He's a third-year pro, this is his profession and I think he took it a lot more seriously this summer. I think he opened some eyes at Boston's camp."
He's opening some eyes down in Providence, too. In just 12 games with the P-Bruins this season, Knackstedt has already put up nine points. Cassidy is hoping that the parent club will keep their eye on Knackstedt this season if they ever need an extra winger up in Boston.
