The Marco Sturm trade saga has finally reached a conclusion.

After initially arising last week, rumors of a Bruins-Kings trade for Sturm resurfaced this weekend, and now, it is official.

The B's have traded the veteran left winger to the Kings for future considerations. Sturm had been with the Bruins since 2005, recording his best year in 2007-08 with 56 points.

The team had been need of salary-cap relief going into this season, and Sturm proved the most logical option for such as he recovered from ACL and MCL injuries and had been out of the lineup since May.

The initial trade last week was held up because the Kings believed Sturm was closer to returning than he proved to be. This time around, though, he was healthy enough to be traded, though the transaction still has a physical pending.
