Red Sox Nation Reaches New Heights As AC Milan Star Alexandre Pato Rocks Sox Hat Atop World's Tallest Building in Dubai The additions of Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford and Bobby Jenks — along with a slew of healthy returning sluggers — has Red Sox Nation antsy in their pantsy for the 2011 season.

The bandwagon is starting to load up with new members and castoffs from the 2007 World Series season, as the Nation reaches new heights. Literally.

On Thursday in Dubai, the AC Milan soccer club posed for photos in a makeshift indoor soccer field high atop Dubai’s Burj Khalifa — the world’s tallest building. Posing in these photos is 21-year-old Brazilian star striker Alexandre Pato, who managed to get his hands on a grey Red Sox lid for the public relations stunt.

Is this Pato’s way of telling the world he wants to play for Liverpool?

“I was telling the truth then, and I am telling the truth now. I don’t know what else I can say. I have never taken steroids. For people who think I took steroids intentionally, I’m never going to convince them. But I hope the voters judge my career fairly and don’t look at one mistake.”

In Shaquille O’Neal‘s defense, he does play a mean statue. And conductor. And Santa Claus. And cross-dresser.

Man I hate Shaq. Fat slow and no athletic ability whatsoever. He can’t even rebound a ball which is why they signed him in the first place.”
