Jack Edwards likes the Bruins’ chances in the Eastern Conference final, but he knows the series won’t be easy for the Black and Gold.

NESN’s voice of the Bruins joined the Sports Media Weekly Podcast on SportsMediaJournal.com to talk about his upbringing, career path and polarizing calls. He also handicapped the Eastern Conference final between the Bruins and Lightning.

Edwards predicted the Bruins would take the series in seven games, but also quickly noted that advancing to the Stanley Cup finals would be a challenge for the B’s.

“I think Tampa Bay has a tremendous team, but in the end, the Bruins are going to assert themselves,” he said. “This is their year. This is their time.”

Edwards touched on a little a bit of everything in his interview, including how he landed the NESN gig that he calls his “dream job.”
