Fans looking to sport T-shirts and hats commemorating Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary will get the chance.

The exclusive team store on Yawkey Way and other team vendors inside the park have begun selling the merchandise.

One hundred years ago on June 24, then-Red Sox owner John I. Taylor made public his intention to build a new ballpark in the Fenway neighborhood.

The home of the Boston Red Sox will celebrate its 100th anniversary on April 20, 2012. For more information, visit Fenway Park 100.

NESN.com is featuring a story for every year since the park opened in 1912. The latest post was about Fenway in 1942 — the year Ted Williams won the Triple Crown.
