Finally, for Barcelona fans, the one that got away looks to on his way back home, as Arsenal captain and Camp Nou youth prodigy Cesc Fabregas looks to secure the long-awaited transfer back to the Catalyn Giants.
The Guardian is reporting that Febregas will meet with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger Tuesday to discuss the midfielder's desire to return to Spain.
Leaving the world-class Barcelona youth camp at 16, Fabregas enjoyed a successful run at The Emirates, which included 35 goals and 80 assists in seven years in the Premier League. Fabregas was supposed to be a central component of Arsenal's success from the "Invincibles" to the present, but it looks as if the Spanish international will walk away with no major trophies from his time with the Gunners.
Fabregas is just one of many who look to be on the way out of the Emirates, as defender Gail Clichy has already been purchased by Manchester City, and rumors of multiple teams interested in Samir Nasri could mean the end of a promising, yet unfulfilled era of Arsenal soccer.
