David Ortiz is in the starting lineup for the Boston Red Sox on Friday night, meaning it looks as though the designated hitter will be appealing his suspension.

Ortiz was given a four-game suspension on Thursday for his role in an altercation with Orioles reliever Kevin Gregg last Friday. Gregg and fellow O's reliever Michael Gonzalez appealed their suspensions of four and three games, respectively.

Ortiz is batting fifth for the Red Sox as they face David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays. Batting behind Ortiz is Darnell McDonald, who owns a .333 average against Price in 15 at-bats. Among McDonald's five hits against Price are a triple and a home run, and he also has two walks.

All-Star Kevin Youkilis is in his usual cleanup spot, also sporting a .333 average (5-for-15, two doubles) against Price.

The good numbers end there for the Sox. The rest of the lineup is a combined 10-for-53 (.189) against Price.

Below is the complete Sox lineup.

Dustin Pedroia, 2B
