Early in the summer, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that Glen Davis‘ days with the Celtics were numbered.
Apparently, those assumptions might have been premature, according to a report from the Boston Globe.
On Tuesday, the 6-foot-8 forward spoke about his desire to return to Boston.
“Most definitely, that’s my No. 1 priority — see if I can come back here and play,” Davis said at Malcolm X Park in Roxbury, Mass. “And if I can’t, go somewhere else.
“I think in a lot of situations you have to air things out,” he added in regards to some of his earlier comments. “Especially with a player that’s growing. You’ve got to talk and clear things up, and I think that time will come whenever the opportunity comes. I’m just trying to focus on working out.”
Davis also said that, like a lot of players, he is interested in playing overseas during the lockout to “keep that edge” and to continue “playing the game that we love.”
